Gearbox hic-cup

Post by PJ »

Driving through the town yesterday, I was unable to select 2nd & 4th gears.

This lasted for about half a mile then everything was OK and has been since.

Any ideas :?: I hope this is not a warning of problems to come. I have a very long drive planned and could have done without this. :(

Tip: try it with the shaft in your hand accelerating and decelerating with the feel. If you can or see the bush stick moving backwards or forwards whilst doing this, chances are it's coming first

(But I also lost my bolt before you felt it)
I beg your pardon ? :P

Supa, you always leave me with such a great sellection of words to play with

Sorry PJ, I was going to say the linkages, try and see if all the joints are in order?

Pay no attention to Welton, I know what you meant Supa. I'll check it out at the weekend.

Hope everything goes well tomorrow.
