Board computer display problem

Post by srdan »

Hello there,
I have a big problem with board display.

I have around 30 vertical dark lines on my display. I could survive with that, but the main problem is than when I turn my heating on,
the display gets hot, and then the display goes totally dark.

Are there any known issues at circuit / chipset? Or there is issue at flat cable or just display?
If there is a problem with flat cable and display, does anyone know where could I get suitable on, which could fit on that circuit / chipset...

The new board costs 550€ ?!?! :S

try to find a 2nd hand used display and simply change them over.
over time the screen goes faulty and dies.
its just a case of buying one from a scrap car . very easy change over i think 4 torx screws and it will pull off ... unplug it then plug your new one in job done.

hello,
seams the reasonable solution.
Will try to find one.

Already find one, but has the same issue :(
Here at our place, there is not so much choice, maybe at your place better?
Do you have some website for second handed car parts? :)

thx

I believe they do suffer from getting hot
I've even seen someone resorting to putting a duct in to cool the display

If it's the same as a coupe try contacting Ade1122 on ebay
