Misting up foglamps D9

Post by grasmere59 »

Why do the foglamps mist up? I fitted 2 new ones(albeit pattern parts) to my 2003 Exec last weekend and one misted up within a day without me even taking the car on the road. :(

Because theres no breathers on them, :(

if you look at the headlamps for eg, they have that small black pipe breather, fog lamps dont have them,

ive drilled headlamps /foglamps in the past, very fine drill bit, when ive been fed up with them misting up

I had one misted up and one waterlogged so i thought i fit new ones cos i was fed up with looking at them the way they were, and now i'm almost back to square one! It ruins the look of the car,my o/h has a Ford Focus with fogs and hers don't mist up at all.

My headlamps on almost every car ive had in the last 4 yrs mist up
if iput the car in my garage, leave it outside in the cold and no problem,

never knew why :?

Through summer time, dont have problem with misting up lights
