As a software tester, I have to agree with Welly.
You can test in a lab all you like, but the best testing mirrors real life usage. Thats why beta testing is so useful in gathering information on real use scenarios.

that first video was amazing beats an episode of top gear no problem, that would be one of the worlds greatest jobs driving the shite clean out of new cars 
the door one though you could do that to any modern car (the 406 handle surround would come off though) but standing on the door we did that on a 405 as children and the doors always closed after, mercedes did a good test one time for the w124 by lifting the whole car from the doors
