HDi boost solenoid plug colour?

Post by RobTurbo »

What colour is the wiring plug for the boost solenoid on a 110?

Also, how many solenoids are on the bulkhead of a multiplexed 110? My 90 only has one, for the EGR, my 306 has 2, one for EGR, one for the intake flap thing.

Grey. If that's the turbo pressure regulation solenoid valve (potato, potato...).

Depends, some have just the egr & the turbo solenoid, some have the air doser too (seems like early and late cars didn't get one, mine doesn't). For the 90 it says egr + butterfly valve (whatever that is) but that's just one solenoid.

There's 2 plugs on my 90, one goes to the egr, as I mentioned above, the other one I'm hoping is for the boost solenoid (or turbo pressure regulation solenoid valve) rather than the air doser (that's the intake flap thing I was talking about!), if it is then I'll be making use of it when I swap to bosch, I'll check the colour tomorrow. The egr on the other hand will be getting turned off completely, it's blocked off at the minute but I'd prefer to completely remove it from the engine bay, I can't figure out how to turn it off on the siemens, but once I've swapped over to bosch it will be no problem.

I know how to block the egr, that's what I've done, but once I get the bosch gear on I will turn it off in the ecu so it can all be unplugged without a fault code, even if it doesn't put the light on, I don't want the code to be there!
