Just popped out at lunch and noticed for wiper relay ticking on and off.
As I've never heard it before is it a sign of impending failure or just the fact I'm normally murdering classic tunes with my awful singing voice and never noticed it before?
I really don't fancy the wipers suddenly packing up in the current weather!

Does that happens all the time wipers are ON,or just when you put wipers in that sensor mode (sensor is ON and wipers engage)
Becose,in my car the tick is present only when i put them to rain sensing.

no rain sensors on my lowly lx mate and it ticked each time it started moving from the parked position and at the top of the sweep.

Re: Wiper Relay 'tick'
Mine ticks when leaving and reentering the 'parked' position, not at the top of the sweep, and only in single wipe or automatic modes (for low speed and high speed continuous modes the relay is always engaged).
It's pretty quiet and I can't hear it unless I turn off the radio and really listen for it.
Mine is an LX and has rain sensitive wipers by the way.

Could be normal tho, that ticking...if it ain broken, dont worry, sing along
You can always check motor of the wipers just to be sure, but i wouldnt worry too much,as you can see,we all have ticks
