They seem a bit hit and miss - a lot of people complain about them but ours has been absolutely spot on. 53 plate 1.6 petrol, got it at 8k miles and now on 81k. Few minor niggles, needed a new rad last year and I think one of the coils is on its way out, but in general has been mechanically excellent.

Ours is a hatch so it's not the comfiest long distance drive but it's not awful either.

Can't tell you much about the HDis but I daresay you know more than me about them anyway

noticed afew in the scrapyards with knakerd turbos,
are the turbos made of cheese,

or are they the same turbo as whats on the 406s ?

Are those the 1.6s?

I think they put in:
* The stupid 1.6 110,
* The 2.0 90 with Siemens injection system -- same as the 406
* The 2.0 136 -- same as the 407.

Not sure of what size engines was in the ones at the yards,
ijust asked one of the lads what they was weighed in for, Most of them was turbo fails,

iwill get some pictures up once its cleaned up abit its Minging!
plenty of chewing gum and sticky stuff on the seats too,

igot it cheap enough so icarnt complain, 600 quid bargain me thinks,

just picked one up as there 7seats, need a 7 seater for the summer holidays so thought id grab one whilst the values of cars are down,
through the summer idont think iwouid of been able to of got one that iwouid be able to use for short while and sell it aftwards withought loosing any money


for a few months of hanging on to it will save me 1500 quid or so,
