Coolant level on HDi 90 in a Picasso
Hi all! Firstly, am I right to assume its the same engine fitted to the 406, without the dpf and dual mass flywheel? My main problem is that last week when I started it the dash flashed up something about low coolant/water and it needed to be topped up. The car had been parked on a downward slope slope for 3 hours. When I got it home I let it cool down (drove as normal home for 8 miles and temp gauge showed nothing unusual) and checked the expansion bottle which was actually low, topped it up to the max level. Now, I've driven it once since then and checked the water level twice and it is still at max, though there is still a warning on the dash showing the water symbol, is there anything I can do? Was thinking of disconnecting/reconnecting the battery, there is something plugged in at the front, thought I could try unplugging/plugging it back in?

It might be a faulty sensor,
My old picasso was the same, a new sensor sorted it,
check the connection unplug/reconect see what happens,
plenty of info on this,on the pic forum, worth a look,

Oh don't worry, on that forum too lol http://www.citroenpicasso.org.uk/picasso/
I was struggling to get a straight forward response to my thread to be honest on the above, I will unplug it and hopefully it won't explode lol.
