Isnt that some air intake system?

That's individual throttle bodies for each cylinder rather than one common (shared) port. There's a fuel injector just behind the butterfly. This sort of set up works well with porting/polishing/cams and a free flow eggsauce.

It's really the last call for maximum power without turbo charging.
