Hi mate, I have a 306 and a 406, 306 is the wife's and 406 is mine.
306 is more fun round town but the 406 is superior as a family car. Both ultra-reliable and economical.
The 406 prices have dropped so a good time to buy one, aim for a later and higher spec model if you can as prices much the same....
2003 2.2hdi estate - mine 1998 Volvo 940 auto estate - also mine 2019 Citroen C3 something - the wife's PP2000 user, can help with faults / diagnostics in the Bournemouth area.

Nope - Rapier just had black cloth. Rapier is positioned between LX and GLX - both of which have manual cloth seats.
It's still nicer than the LX spec I had when I had a saloon.
If you wanted half-leather, you'd need to look out for a D9-model SRi or SE. All the others had either full cloth or full leather. This is UK trim levels I'm talking about though - the trim levels varied from market to market.
2002 (D9) Peugeot 406 Coupe SE, 2.2 litre Petrol. Scarlet Red/Rouge Ecarlate/Rosso Scarlatto. Black Leather interior. SOLD
2008 (E60 LCI) BMW 525i M-Sport, 3.0 litre Petrol. Carbonschwarz Metallic. Black Dakota Leather and Myrtlewood interior.

Irish market having said that we do tend to get weird specs at times, a lot of D8's here didn't have rev counters for example. My old one was a base model on the taxbook, yet had a sunroof
