Cleaned The Zafira Ready For Tomorrow...

Post by waue1978 »

... then somebody decided they want to go to the boot sale, so looks like the Pugfest decision got made once & for all. Would have been nice to catch up with all the guys I haven't seen since August 2010 (& everyone else), but the decision has now been made for me. A Vauxhall in a car park full of Pug Nuts probably would have got keyed anyway.

Did at least manage to finally give the Zafira a proper clean up to my standards though. Well, almost as I didn't take the lights out to clean in behind them as I was getting a red neck. Also had my first go at "claying". Not especially impressed to be honest though. Wasn't really any easier to polish & doesn't seem any shinier than a normal polish would do, but it might show the benefits the next time round.

That's true, does the convoy really have to follow the Mondeorator?
With any luck he'll be back in the Pug club :D

Mighty clean there Stu!

Here's a substantially inferior Zafira I spotted today.

Don't the front wheels look unusually exposed? Is this normal?

No, that is normal. Mine looks the same if looked at directly from the front. That looks like an Elegance the same as mine & all the post 2003 ones have the same wider alloy wheels as I've got.

While this thread's been refreshed, I may have found the benefits of the claying yesterday. Was filling up little man's new 12ft pool & decided I'd hose the dust off the Zafira while it was out. Looks like it's been freshly polished now & all I did was hose it down & wipe off a few bug splats & some manky tree sap from the nearside rear door.
