It does need a cam belt but mechanically in VGC, 97,200 miles as of this mornings trip to work (cam belt due on age not miles).
Flew through MoT last month with no advisories.
Pulls very well for a 17 year old 90hp car and gives me 38-40 round town (has run veg with no problems but not for a while as the price difference round here made it not worth the bother.
Cosmetically the usual minor scratches, delaquering on the back bumper (never seen a red 406 that didn't) and a very obvious scuff on the front bumper (previous owner) that I still haven't got round to sorting.
Pics can be seen in my post from when I bought it and it hasn't really changed except for a new egg sauce and fitting kit, new brakes all round, glow plugs and general servicing stuff.
Auto trader prices vary massively so hard to get an idea on a fair price.
