DPF parameters. What do you make of it?

What do you make of this?!

I don't believe it's carting 1800 litres of additive round with it.
I filled up once, so if that's representative then that's 307 fills worth, and I only took the 406 to the petrol station 200 times in 8 years. So that doesn't sound right either.

I think it might have regenerated on the M4 last weekend on the way to Cosford, so that fits with 771km (480 miles) ago.

Current: 407 2.2 HDi 170 & C6 2.7 HDi.
Former: 406 1.9 TD; 406 HDi 90; 407 2.2 160; 307cc 180; 508 HDi 140.

At a guess, I'd say it's adapting to your driving style, (more m-way / less urban) and revising it's calculations accordingly.
Bear in mind it can clean itself without regenerating if it stays hot enough for long enough.
The 406 system triggers regens based on differential pressure and mileage - even if it never registers a pressure build up, it will regen at about 800 km intervals with a clean filter, (0% loaded), but this reduces to maybe every 80 km when it estimates it's due for changing.

Maybe the additive quantity is in ml?
406 tanks hold 5 litres, but 307's are about 3l, maybe the 407 is too?

I wish it would tell you when it's doing it.
Even better, ask you on the MFD whether it's a good time then, say, after three refusals, do it anyway. I guess most people are too daft to cope with that.
One of those things where just a little bit of human input would make the computer so much smarter.

I think it did it on the way to work this morning -- trip computer showed 30mpg which is down by at least 10. It should just wait while tomorrow when it's off on the motorway.

On a 406, among other things it activates the hrw to help load the engine. You could quite clearly hear the relay drop out every time you lifted off the throttle, then reclose when you put your foot back on, (but it didn't indicate the hrw was on vie the MFD - sneaky)

Another clue would be activating the air dosers to bypass the intercooler, (I know you can't tell, but you could rig up a lamp to tell you the e/v was energised).
No intercooler + water temp > 70 = regen in progress.

Eventually, it will drive you crazy - just get it the FAP outa there!
