Sim Unlocked Joy.

Post by GingerMagic »

As many of you on the Forum know - I do not have or do not want a Facebook, Twitter or whatever account, however, I feel I need to tell someone about an excellent service I received this week.

I had to unlock my old mobile phone, as my new phone was stolen from out of my lorry ( when I was in the back unloading... ) I called into Tesco and the phone was blocked straight away and a new sim handed over with my old number being put on it withing 6 hours.

I tried T-mobile to ask how I can make my old phone sim-free for my new Tesco sim and they said it was a £20 charge. The kind chap recommended a free website to go to ( www.forum.xda-developers.com ) which is full of tech minded people that show ways of making phones sim-free. The only phone they cannot do is the HTC Wildfire, so guess what my phone is.....pfff

Looked on eBay, tried the Unlock Doctor. Well 99p and a couple of hours later I had the code to put into my phone and Bobs your Dad's Sister.

Tesco, T-mobile and the Unlock Doctor deserve a recommendation, although the T-Mobile website is shite.

That photo must be faked, a puny hammer like that would get broken by the nokia. They must have had it roundhoused by Chuck Norris first.

Those 99p Ebay jobbies don't just work for phones i unlocked my daughters blackberry back in September plus i had bought myself a MIFI router for when on hols that was locked to the 3 network...So ordered a T-mobile broadband sim for 99p (with £5 credit on it) :supafrisk: tried it and obviously it looked for the unlock code.

99p and an Ebay message later to this member bargainreactor and i had my code and now my MIFI works a treat on all networks....#Jobsagoodun.

For the record all carphone warehouse phones are unlocked. We always buy our phones from them, just pick the cheapest network and either use the credit or just bin the sim.
