What a tool!

Post by Bailes1992 »

On the weekend my car started to sound like a bag of spanners. We'll I'm lying, it was nothing excessive but it was not as smooth and punchy as it usually is.
Fearfull of an expensive bill I started looking at how much it would cost to start replacing pumps or injectors and weather I should chop it in before a big repair bill arises. Even had an argument with the missus about it.

My cars usuall tipple is BP Ultimate. Every time I fill up I have a little book I fill in to work out MPG/price per mile etc.

Went to fill the book out in my break time, looked at the receipt and I've filled up with standard diesel.

Omg the joys of paranoid motoring :( Worried about your car making strange noises? Got a strange feeling it doesn't drive as it should? Nervous about where to park it? Sick of seeing new trolley dings? You need not new, unimproved, Toyota Pieceofcrap4! :cheesy: Drive it like you stole it, ignore all those strange noises, blank out all those irritating warning lights, chuck all the bits that fall off in the bin, laugh at every new bit of damage and park it where you damn well like!

I'm having my missus KA in the next few weeks for work. Sick of using my Mondeo like a van!

I fear I'm going to like it though. :(

If you think the Mondingo is sounding a bit odd,
place tick next to relevant symptom;
strange noises
rattles
vibrations
poor handling
lack of power

Having 'reluctantly' driven a couple of Ka's, you'll feel right at home as they tick all the boxes!

I drive my Mum's KA every now and again (it has Factory Ivory Leather seats  ) and you do kinda hate the thing, but then it hates you back and the grudge-driving begins and it takes everything you throw at it and more....mega respect from me.

It's nearly 10 years old so I expect it will be collected using a dustpan and brush when the frilly sills really take hold, no-ones ever been near the thing with any spannerz either :?

My missus gets in hers and from cold every morning thrashes the living crap out of the poor thing! All it's needed is a clutch at 84k and a new gearbox as the old one sprung a leak and we all ignored it!

It's now sporting a SportKA gearbox with close together and shorter ratios which is mighty good fun!
