I noticed when someone got into the back of the 305 they asked where is the seatbelt, to which i found out that the 305 doesn't have any seat belts in the back, nor any signs of them ever being there.
Is it legal for someone to sit in the back of a car that has never had seat belts? I assume that being so old it predates mandatory seat belts for rear passengers?

I reckon any car made before the 1989 law would get away without featuring rear seat belts, most cars that didn't feature rear belts by 1989 would start to have them after then (new models especially), and all cars made after the 1991 law would need to feature them, else the rear seats would be legally useless.
Fun fact: wearing a seatbelt in the back seats of a car only became mandatory under UK law in 1991 (it became mandatory for children in 1989).If your vehicle doesn’t have seat belts
If your vehicle doesn’t have seat belts, for example it’s a classic car, you aren’t allowed to carry any children under 3 years old in it.
Children over 3 are only allowed to sit in the back seats.
These rules only apply if your vehicle was originally made without seat belts.
