As a few of you will know, I owned a 1998 406 V6 estate and I loved that car to bits. sadly Mr drunk as a Skunk MG ZR driver rolled his car onto its roof outside my home and killed my V6 Estate in Feb 2013.
I then bought a replacement car, don't laugh, a Renault Laguna 1.9dci Initiale. Car spec was good but I hated the car. Thus in June 2013 I went Pug hunting and managed to find one in the wild lands of Derbyshire. I got a good price on the new D81/2 V6 Coupe and I bought her just from photographs over the interweb.

Re: Costs To Put a V6 Right!
I have owned a D9 V6 saloon for the past 3 years and I have already spent what I paid for it, all worth it. In 3 years I have put 42000k on her already and have had to recently have the engine rebuilt incl a block and ECU. I love the car and I would not have spent all that money if I didn't. It's not reliable and certainly not fuel efficient but just driving it is such a pleasure. I still need new brakes, new droplinks and new fuel lines but thats coming soon.

30V6, I know what you mean it is a very uneconomical car but just for the lines it is worth the expense.

Calvi36 you did the right thing. I am looking forward to buying a 406 with the 2,9 V6 engine myself. And l would spend all the money in the world to to get that beautiful gem of a car running again.
