Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

A stage one tune on the 90 will give 125hp and 270nm. Thats more than a standard 110 and is plenty quick enough, much more usable than the standard map for sure. There is hope for Siemens 90 guys at last! 8) Still prefer my remapped 110 :supafrisk:

It's sort of a stage 1+. The map I'm running is midway between stage 1 and 2, but with slightly reduced torque as I want to continue to run the standard intercooler, rather than fit a front mount with custom piping. A stage 1 tune needs no modifications, a stage 2 requires better airflow (i.e. free flow exhaust, bigger intercooler etc.) Steve made me a custom map which only requires me to hollow out the catalytic converter, which gives quicker release of exhaust gas, as well as building boost quicker due to less resistance on the turbo impeller from back pressure.

Much better than a stage 1 map, which is an excellent upgrade on its own, but I wanted something with a little bit more grunt  It's at about 150bhp and 350nm now, which is +40bhp and +100nm from factory (110bhp, 250nm). Overtaking feels confident, however I now find myself wishing I had traction control as it will spin up the wheels in first and second gear on a wet day! Still get 60+mpg too on a gentle run 8) The juddering from the engine has now gone as I've replaced the DMF+Clutch with new LUK units. After 6 months of ownership, I've nearly got my Pug where I want it :)

As much as I adore the power of a 2.2 (friend has one, its very nice!), I prefer the DW10 engine. Better access, more simple to work on, less to go wrong, much better fuel economy, better sound (IMO) and no issues with the VNT turbo and DPF. Plus I'm very attached to my current car (friends Mum bought it new, Dad bought it off her and then I bought it off him  ) and its in such nice condition now I couldn't bear to sell it! I do yearn for 435nm though...

Glad your happy with it, I am currently running mine with a de-cat, backbox delete, de-egr & a doggy remap :supafrisk: 140ish, when time & funds allow I'm gonna whip
off the inlet & clean it out, full st/steel 63mm I.D mandrel bent exhaust, a one off front mount intercooler, a one off intake system, couple of other things up my sleeve
& a mapping session by steve.
BOOM  all the best DDD.
