Someone save it!

Post by fattail95 »

Not affiliated with the person selling it, but its a LOT of car for your money. 2002 Exec fully loaded with leather...

MIL is probably an overboost if it is a vacuum problem like he said. Sling a set of nicopipes on and a remap and de-fap and you're onto a winner. The clutch has already been done too. I'm temped to but it myself for £550 and he'd probs take £500...

"Anti pollution light" sounds like the dpf warning light's on i.e. blocked. Plus no MOT and a dented front corner?
Probably not going to make much more than scrap money, sad though that is.

I dont think the bodywork got dented, just scratched and needs the black trim piece replacing. For £500, someone like ourselves which know a bit about these cars could have a cracking motor with a bit of time and work, don't often see an Exec 2.2HDi in saloon form.

Somebody open a 406 sanctuary. You can probably get lottery funding.

Current: 407 2.2 HDi 170 & C6 2.7 HDi.
Former: 406 1.9 TD; 406 HDi 90; 407 2.2 160; 307cc 180; 508 HDi 140.

Now that is tempting, if it wasn't as far away from me as you can get without leaving the country!!!

I might message the seller for some more bodywork pics as it looks tidier than mine so might be worth the train fare :cheesy:

Folkestone is about 45 mins from me, so if there's anything I can do to help Gumby let me know :) if you would break it, there's a few bits I'd like

Thanks Ben, I've emailed the seller and they're going to send me some more info tonight.

If I can get it at the right price and it's as described I'd probably pinch the bumper trim from mine, fit the nico pipe and exhaust and lose the wood trim and break mine.
Mileage is similar to mine but the bodywork looks better from what I can see. If I decide to go ahead I'll let you know.

It would be nice to have AC that actually works when the 2 weeks of summer arrive :)
