Hi, I own a 406 2.0 HDI (90) Rapier - year 2000
When I try to start the car, the car lights up as usual but is immobilised when i turn the key.
At first I assumed the key was done so tried the spare with no luck.
The wires were checked by my mechanic and all was in order.
We tried a number of ECU's with the matching BSI's and Key chips with no success
as they were from either 110's or different year 90's.
I bought a supposedly same model and year ecu bsi keychip bundle from a breaker but no success (wasn't same model I suspect)
All attempts to date give similar results, the car will start but wont build the revs
It can also be quite smokey
When looking for a suitable ecu which parts of the codes have to match
Any help would be greatly appreciated
