We lost a BX TZD estate like that a few years ago, parked under a street lamp, hit in the back by a woman driver. :x

She was driving a 62 plate Fiesta,it's a 30 mph limit through the village but she managed to move the van approx 15ft up the road, the van was fully loaded with the handbrake on so I reckon weighed in about 2 tons. There were no skid marks so she just ran straight into it.She was in her early 50's and believe it or not 6 years ago my Vivaro was parked in the same place and a 60 year old drunk lady ran into that at 3 o'clock in the morning! Both women came from the next village down the road, perhaps the whole village has a drink problem! All the oildry you can see in the road is where the oil was soaked up after she had knocked the end of her gearbox off.

Maybe you should put up some 'Beware of drunk women drivers' signs up.

Blimey that's had a hard hit eh?

To try and put a positive slant on this; you weren't injured yourself and she will have had a massive wake up call on this - as will all the other Villagers when they find out. Apparently where I live there's a bit of a culture of drink-driving amongst those old enough to know better, perhaps they think they're immune from suspicion in their new cars and supposed seniority.

One thing I've noticed with Women when drinking Wine is the fashion for a very large glass, you see them in Pubs where a large wine is neigh on half a bottle of the stuff. Then an hour or so later that "I've only had two glasses" has probably sent them twice over the limit. It's a bit like a man asking for a 'large pint'
