radiator fan

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Mornin' When you say fan I presume this is the early D9 setup with one fan, two resistors and 3 relays (behind a cover on the fan shroud). Could be one of the relays has collapsed, or the pressostat has gone haywire or the temperature sensor on the thermostat housing (there's 3 of them) has gone short circuit. This is probably (?) the fuse diagrams for your car http://www.peugeotlogic.com/fuses/fuses406/fuses8.htm I've had a look in Sedre but it's only showing me diagrams with 2 fans and no resistors  An RPO and an actual engine code may help but I've tried quite a few.
