I have a 1998 406 GLX 2.0 ltr Petrol auto. (Yes.. I know...

Live data recorded by my local diagnostic bod tells us that the car thinks the throttle pedal is permanently at 81% position which is causing the AL4 auto box to behave inappropriately (not changing when it should, flashing warning lights, won't kick down, reluctant to change in to top gear).
I am told it is possibly a Throttle Position Sensor issue.
The tech chap can't remember if there is just one in the throttle body, or whether there may be another in line in the throttle cable somewhere.
Can anyone direct me as to where I can find the Throttle position sensor or sensors?
I have tried searching "Throttle Position Sensor" on this forum and the amount of results mentioning them is rather overwhelming!
Happy to be directed to an existing thread if anyone knows of one.
