HDI 110 Stiff clutch pedal mind of its own

Post by adam03031980 »

I have another intermitten fault my clutch stopped slipping a few months back and seems fine even
when i give the car a bit more oomph but over the past couple of months my clutch pedal is sometimes stiff sometimes its as light as a feather then at others it can get a little stiff but all gears engage smoothly no probs its sort of 50/50 whethers it is light or heavy is this a hydraulic problem the bite is good on it too

Yeah mine is like that as well, sometimes it's nice, light and slick; while other times it stiffens up, then on others it clicks towards end of travel and seems slick again. It would be interesting if anyone has found a answer/solution to this annoying situation.

Mine funnily enough also has that little click "now and again" however the clutch seems to keep on going i have towed trailers with it travelled to the scottish highlands it has regular services and nothing is ever identified and i have done now about 26000 miles with these various intermittent problems but am not inclined to do anything because no one really knows exactly what is wrong the last garage i went to refused to do anything with clutch as they couldnt identify any problems. ( at least they didnt rip me off which was nice)

I think that I may spray some lube in the area this next bank holiday to see if that does anything, but I somehow doubt it. It's amazing that no one has a clue what the problem is or how to sort it.
