AHAHAHAHA I've not seen many doughnut sessions where there's been more smoke coming from the exhaust than from the tyres! You see the clouds following them as they race down the track? I reckon they could be like an earthbound Red Arrows except instead of red white and blue smoke, just black
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

Hello, is it possible to actually get that kind of power out of a skyline, and is it safe?

That;s a lot of smoke :P

Yes slick... there are skylines with more power than that around. Internals are so strong, they can take a lot before anything needs changing

The skyline internals are very strong but won't take more than about 400BHP before you need to uprate the pistons, rods, crank, head gasket, clutch, fueling and Turbo etc.

I remember Clarkson driving one ages ago, I think it was on that Motorworld series (which was excellent by the way) so sometime in the early - mid 90s. He reckoned that they could be tuned to 800 horses without changing anything.
