All the Jap cars I've had required the removal of the bumper to change the headlight. A bit of faffing around in the arch liner is not that bad.
Anyway how come your old one's gone yellow? my headlights are still ubber shiney inside (apart from the weird electrical spikey, patterny, static patterns)

Jobs really need to be easy for me to attempt them other wise i get scared off. Me and tools dont go together to well So as blue says its an absolute bitch its not lookin good.
Toot according to my haynes comic it quite easy on a D9, remove the
grill then there are 2 bolts on the top of each headlight and a third on the
inside of the wing move the battery cover to expose one and the washer bottle
cap to expose the other pull unit forward and unclip wires

sounds like the Volvo S40 T4, its basically a mitsubishi carisma, apparently it shares 25% of the parts, anyway, to remove the headlight it involves, removing the front bumper, the front undertray(s), the foglights, headlamp washers, and your supposed to remover the intercooler, radiator and condenser too but i know a way round
bloody jap crap
