Fog Light Lense

Post by sidmon1 »

Can the Fog Light Lense on a '96 406 be interchanged with another off another foglight. The only reason I ask is mine on my car is shattered but I have a replacement foglight, though the plastic bracket around the foglight is broken/cracked in places....hence I need to take my foglight off and just swap the lenses over....thanks.

I don't know without seeing it, it should be fairly obvious if it comes to pieces or not if you've actually got a broken one to inspect. You might have to distroy the lense of the one and the back of the other, then use something like epoxy to glue the two bits together.

It doesn't look obvious. Theres a seal around the lense but there's no clips holding the lense to the actual foglight's body.....didn't want to start taking it apart and ruining it!

Not ruined, just has a broken mounting bracket which is fixable but would have preferred to have been able to just swap the lenses over.....never mind, I'll have to repair instead. Thanks for the info chaps.
