Damned frog electrics!

I got in the car tonight to go do the shopping, no backlight on climate control display. Fair enough, bulbs gone says I.
Back from friday night madness at supermarket, I've got a couple of spare bulbs so I took out the unit to replace them.
Insert first bulb, still no light! The climate control is working and I can see the unlit digits on the display, just no backlight
Oh feck.
I unplugged the two connectors and re-assembled, turned ignition back on and both bulbs lit up!! Another soldering job to sort out

Surely the connctor's dirty/worn, do you mean you'll ditch the connector and solder the wires direct?

Actually you're right, I was annoyed with it last night, not thinkng logically!
I'll give it a spray with contact cleaner first!
