removing airbag

does anyone know how to remove the airbag on a D9.

haynes says insert a screwdriver into the hole on the underneath of the stearing wheel to relise the metal clip holding it in.

ive done this and it seems to be uncliped at the bottem but theres still something holding it in there at the top. Haynes depics it as poping out easily.

im guessing im missing something but what?... has anyone atempted this?

I seem to be able to unclip it from the bottom and the right hand side but its stil firmly cliped in on the left

Haynes Manuals are known as "The God of Lies" among bikers.
I've got no reason to think their car manuals are any better.

So, I doubt you've missed a step in the manual. They didn't include the last little bit info' you want (as usual )
