Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Front Fog Lights Adustment

Post by Zippokovich »

Sorry to ask such a trivial question, but i don't have a Haynes Guide for 406s yet

Just how to you adjust the hight of the front foglamps as one of mine is a bit high. It just because they are so low on the car i can't see anyway to adjust or replace them (the radiator gets in the way). Do you have to get in from the bottom?

And while i'm at it how do you adjust the lateral throw of the main beam headlights (how left or right they face) because they seem to be very focused in the middle. This may be how they are meant to be set and cannot be changed but hay, just though i'd ask.

I know there's screws at the top of the main lights for height adjustment, might give you some idea of what to look for?
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

Yes very easy to sort. Having changed one of my complete fog light units. I would advise jacking car up and removing the wheel first. There is a small plastic corner trim which is one of the star headed bits not sure of the size now. Remove i think around 8 screws drop off cover. There you have adjustment for your fog light :cheesy: If you have a garage or a wall handy make a make to what height you want it set to. Fit road wheel lower jack and adjust away 8)
