am i the only one who has thought about this or have i got too much spare time on my hands ?

if everyone in the UK give in to the government and green parties demands to be "greener " and suddenly bought low polluting frugal cars how would they manage with losing all the taxes and where would they recoup it ? some new cars pay no road tax so the government would lose billions there if we all bought one of them , imagine how much petrol tax the government would lose if everyone bought hybrid cars ( or small engined ones that do 70 MPG )
knowing gordon " thieving barstad " brown he would slap a tax on the air we breath as we all exhale CO2 and that is " damaging to the environment "

rant over for 5 minutes so wot do you think would happen ? would the country go bankrupt ? would global warming suddenly go away ? or would gordon brown pull a gun out of his desk and shoot himself ? that last one is wishfull thinking

Or if everyone suddenly gave up smoking... Face it, it's not going to happen overnight. They'll probably just move the goal posts, the greenest cars of today will become the gas-guzzling 4x4s of tomorrow.

Anyway, Boredom Drown knows he'll already be safely tucked up in his coffin by then and it'll be someone else's problem.

The government know that people won't change, some because they can't.

So they know they can tax the hell out of people and people cant change then the government makes a killing and can say "Well, we are trying" so they do it guilt free too.

Not that anyone in government is ever capable of feeling guilt, or remorse, or love... well anything really.
