Trailer indicator beeper fingy

Post by Doggy »

Went to get some plasterboard the other day, so hitched up the trailer and set off for Focus. Now I've used the trailer previously and wasn't surprised by the anaemic whinging noise it gives off whenever the indicators are on, but I never locked it with the trailer attached before.....

Came back out with plasterboard aboard one of those impossible to manoeuver trollies, loaded up, dumped trolly, returned to car & unlocked it.....

Now, as you know, the indicators flash rapidly for a few seconds.
The resulting soundtrack was a perfect rendition of the Cadbury Smash aliens p1ssing themselves over mashed potato.
I burst out laughing, people began to stare.
The first one who's eye I caught checked his flies.
This didn't help.
Embarrassed, I turned around and tripped over the towbar.
Bl00dy hurt but I was still wetting myself.
Got reverse instead of first, stalled going into second............
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)
