Door card lights

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Door card lights

Post by andrew1608 »

I have just fitted door lights to my rapier and got the cables connected, but they are not coming on, is there a fuse i need to connect within the fuse box for these to work.

I'm in the same boat. they should work but the BSI needs re-programmed to activate them and currently only Pug dealers can do that (£££) i've heard of people suggesting to wire them to the interior lights but to be honest haven't been that fussed about them

stands for Built-in Systems Interface. in short it's a sort of ECU that controls all the cars accessories. From about 1999 onwards most Peugeot/Citroens come with multi-plex wiring that cuts down the number of connections but needs a BSI to keep it all in order. If the BSI doesn't know the door card lights are there it won't send power to them!
