external temp sender

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

hi my 406,s lx 1.8 16v external temp sender is reading 56c most of the time and bearly goes below 40c is it the sensor or the read out that is at fault i have started haveing engine starting and running probs since this happend could it be related thnk for any help am i right in saying the sensor is in the wing mirror is it hard to change and expencive thanks again

you need a new sensor. they are not expensive to change.

the engine problems should have nothing to do with the sensor however as the engine already picks up the air temp with the MAF.
2000 D9 Coupé 2.0 SE EW10J4 Scarlet Red - 5 litres of oil gone in 500 miles!!! Time for a new coupe me thinks
