Passenger-Side Electric Window

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Passenger-Side Electric Window

Post by highlander »

Hi all,

My passenger-side electric window has stopped working (bugger). The drivers' window works fine. Also, doesn't matter whether I use my switch for the passenger window or the passenger uses the switch on their side - nothing happens when the switch is used.

I wanted to check if it was simple, like a fuse. But I don't know which fuse it will be.

Can anyone offer any advice on where I should start with this?

Kind regards
Graeme

Sounds like the motor to me, see if you've got 12v at the motor when you press the button.

I don't own a multimeter

I will ask around and see if I can borrow one from someone.

Fit like

Or try a test lamp - any old (good) 12v lamp and a couple of lengths of wire will tell you if you're getting power
