Yet another air con query

Post by ijmorrison »

Hi,

More work being done on my sep 2000 HDi 110 2.0 lx!

Need to find the two pipes that come out of the condenser .. best quote so far is approx £220 inc from the local daylight robbery branch ... anyone know if there's an alternative supplier please?

My local garage has already fitted a second hand compressor and a new condenser / drier unit so I'd like to see it through now ...can't wait for cold air ...and no I don't want to open the window as the local farms are manuring the fields! lol

Also contemplating alloys but may wait to see what the final bill is for this stage

Iain

edit : dodgey spelling

I've got a good spare for one of them, (compressor to condenser), which your welcome to if you collect / cover the cost of sending it.
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

Thanks for the offer but just got back form the main stealers (should have checked forum before leaving :x :x grrr)... I think i have ordered them now ...the one i spoke to yesterday came up with a part number that service box doesn't recognise at all for £178+vat (?????) ...plus another small pipe .. the chap i spoke to today went through service box and selected every pipe / washer / nut / etc for the whole system .. this thing will not leak when it goes back together ...

worryingly it looks like the aircon pipes have undergone revision by peugeot .. quite a serious revision !

Evidently the order should go through on Monday ...
