I've got a reg 406 2.0 GLX with AC and it's a manual. It's done 74,000k.
Before I got it, the most recent/major thing I can see it's had done is a coil pack being fitted at 62k
Cambelt was done at 40k so I think I should look at a new one, I heard they aren't reliable after 30k???
Anyway the problem is I started the car yesterday and got a pretty loud whinning/flapping noise under the drivers side front when I turned the ignition to the first position and it was hard to then get it to turn over. It stalled twice and I had to rev it pretty hard to get it going.[/b]
Once it's going it feels perfect....
I can only guess its a pump or the starter maybe?
