If you were to send me an e-mail, and I replied to that same e-mail then my reply is lost at this end unless you reply back to me again whereupon the 'chain' of messages begins for viewing.
Thing is, unless I've got this wrong, I've 'lost' a few of my messages recently where I've stated something important in reply to an e-mail but because the recipient did not reply back to me then I can only see their bit with a arrow > thing showing that I did reply to the message.
Have I got this wrong?

Any reply you make should be stored in Sent Items unless you've emptied it Welly?

That's sounding as if the information store has corruption Welly...
Right click on the local folder store & go to properties; you should have the option to compact the folders.

Using my l33t interweb skilz I've just found out that one's 'Sent' box has a 2Gig limit so I've created a new folder called 'sent backup' and now my Sent messages are being saved again
Not bad for a bone-head eh?
@ Steve - a Hotmail address would look a bit naff for the business emails?
