exhaust

Post by r8tdi »

i started my v reg 1.8 406 this morning and it sounded like a tank so ive been up and down the exhaust pipe for leaks or breaks but nothing, Then whilst having a look around for signs of smoke i found that the joint between the down pipe and the manifold was loose it seems that one of the 2 spring bolts had some loose i have tried all mornign to get the git back in but it just doesnt seem to want to go could i be going wrong somewhere ??

should the bolt not come right out if it is undone or is there some kind of washer the other side keeping it one?

Undo it a bit, relocate the downpipe back onto the manifold properly and retighten.
