Well, it's service time again (3000 miles left) and I am considering getting a "service kit" from eBay such as this.
Can someone tell me why this (among others) costs so much less than going directly to the dealers and getting service items from them? Anything to be wary of, bar fake items? At £25 it seems a bargain! I also found out I can get any oil for free using my company fuel card, so £25 ain't bad for a service, eh?
With the small amount of communication I had with the seller they are very good.
I did, however have a slight problem with the cabin pollen filter as the tabs where in different places but it still fitted snugly but was not fixed in place with plastic tags.
It was all proper OEM branded Oil Filter and air filter/Pollen filter. Fuel filter was OEM also.
I will be using them again when I service the estate next year

I'm a bit wary of buying car parts from ebay as I've had to go and replace faulty parts that people have bought and fitted themselves, but service items such as these should be fine.
The fuel filter in the picture is the one fitted into the filter housing with the big plastic nut on top of the housing with 2 pipes, not the one with a large plastic ring screwed onto the the housing and 3 pipes.
Pug parts retail at the dealers at what pug tell them to. i think the idea is that menu priced servicing, service deals, offers and promitions then cost a consistent amount nationwide, though I'm not sure it works out that way much of the time...
This kits so cheap as most of it isn't OE, so can be sourced freely from wherever at the keenest price, though a pollen filter is hardly a critical part so it's not big deal.
I recently acquired 3 x MAHLE oil filters (MAHLE and Purflux make the OE filters for all pugs, with Denso making them for the 107) for a mighty tenner from a local Fred-in-a-shed. One always keeps ones eyes open for a service bargain and one has a little stockpile as a result.
