


I think it's obvious that the most common lift pump failure is the brushes wearing out and only in rare cases does it break up and fill the fuel system with iron filings, then there's a sodding great filter in the way of the HP pump.
Leaking where? I think you'd have noticed this when you opened the bonnet and got blinded with diesel.CoV wrote:...number 2 injector pipe was leaking...
Odds are it's not the HP pump but I can see how you reckon it's time to cut your losses. Best to leave it in one piece and take stuff off as and when. I've not got much idea on prices (ebay's your place), I reckon stuff like the leather should go pretty quickly but the rest of it might take time. You probably won't be able to sell any of the engine management. Well, not if you're honest about why you're breaking it anyway
