From the description I seriously doubt the clutch needs changing, although there's a slim chance of an issue of crud build-up on the release bearing sleeve

From other things said I'm pretty sure it'll need a new hydraulic system part 209555 (£384) or one from another D8 with ES9J4 specifically. I suspect it MAY be possible to upgrade the system to the better D9 separates system, but that depends on the position and length of the master cylinder push-rod

Fitting will also require removal of the inlet manifold, a new manifold gasket (£3 iirc) and while you're at it, new spark plugs


God I'm the V6 clutch expert now aren't I? :shock:

Soops I'd definitely consider it, and if I'm right, I hereby lay claim to the little translucent red bit of plastic from the ashtray :P
