The Uselessness of the cup holders
I have realised that the cupholders in the d9 are useless for anything bigger than the size of a can of coke especially if the armrests are down, has anyone added any extra cupholders into their cars that work better
Re: The Uselessness of the cup holders
The coupé doesn't have armrests
but I find the cup holders will happily hold a 500ml bottle of Diet Coke out of the way of the driver's elbow when placed in the front holder and leant back at a roughly 45 degree angle...

<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang
Re: The Uselessness of the cup holders
I find them to be great in comparision to the sh*t ones that come in 307's and 607's. They hold my coffee and tea just fine. They were retro-designed to fit into that space though.
Proper cupholders add a safety element to a car so they should be brought in as standard.
I agree with Matts tears. Id love a proper armrest in the coupe. Nothing on ebay comes close. Even if they were cheap i wouldnt get one.

You could invest in a centre console from a D9 Matt. Just a thought. Really cheap too I'd imagine

Get a 99p clip-on jobbie from Tesco. The clip/hook thing can be shoved in-between the centre console and the gearstick gaiter!teamster1975 wrote:What are you all complaining about? I haven't got one in my car! It's a travel mug between the legs and making sure I haven't filled it too high!!!!

It's not worth it Eoin, to be honest I'll be looking for an estate later in the year with no 3 of the teamy clan due at Christmas.eoin27 wrote:You could invest in a centre console from a D9 Matt. Just a thought. Really cheap too I'd imagine
I tried to talk my wife into getting an estate last time round but would she listen?

Oh I've not seen those, I'll take a look! Cheers Matt!mjb wrote:Get a 99p clip-on jobbie from Tesco. The clip/hook thing can be shoved in-between the centre console and the gearstick gaiter!

Re: The Uselessness of the cup holders
I'm guessing there's no armrest on the coupe because the seats fold-forward?

Re: The Uselessness of the cup holders
Ya but a single centre armrest is possible.
