The Uselessness of the cup holders

Post by FarmerPug »

I have realised that the cupholders in the d9 are useless for anything bigger than the size of a can of coke especially if the armrests are down, has anyone added any extra cupholders into their cars that work better

The coupé doesn't have armrests  but I find the cup holders will happily hold a 500ml bottle of Diet Coke out of the way of the driver's elbow when placed in the front holder and leant back at a roughly 45 degree angle...

I find them to be great in comparision to the sh*t ones that come in 307's and 607's. They hold my coffee and tea just fine. They were retro-designed to fit into that space though.

Proper cupholders add a safety element to a car so they should be brought in as standard.

I agree with Matts tears. Id love a proper armrest in the coupe. Nothing on ebay comes close. Even if they were cheap i wouldnt get one.

You could invest in a centre console from a D9 Matt. Just a thought. Really cheap too I'd imagine

Get a 99p clip-on jobbie from Tesco. The clip/hook thing can be shoved in-between the centre console and the gearstick gaiter!

It's not worth it Eoin, to be honest I'll be looking for an estate later in the year with no 3 of the teamy clan due at Christmas.
I tried to talk my wife into getting an estate last time round but would she listen?

I'm guessing there's no armrest on the coupe because the seats fold-forward?

Ya but a single centre armrest is possible.

But looks very much like an after thought, in my opinion.
