Chrome strip below radiator grille

Was this a standard feature on the 406 or has some company made them as an aftermarket part?

all the links seem to not work, but it needs drilled that could be risky are they made of plastic or metal.
Whats the part number for one?

welton relates to "welly" these days, he's older and wiser now and drives a volvo

I THINK it got its name cos he was first to fit one but i believe he just glued his on and didnt drill the bumper like Dai did.
I'm sure he'll be along soon to clarify this

Peugeot part number is 7452.AG,i have just fitted a new one to my Exec as the old one was cracked.

I paid just under £10 delivered for a new one of ebay

If anyone wants to cover the postage costs they can have my old chrome strip,it's in 2 halves as it has a break right in the middle,it would be an easy repair as it's a clean break and even when it was on the car broken it was hardly noticeable as the break is mostly hidden by the grille,the lugs are missing but it's held on with double sided tape anyway,i only used tape to hold the new one on as i didn't have new clips.

I just put in "406" now and again on ebay and see what it brings up,it was NOS from a clearance house somewhere,i got it a few months back,i bid and got it for £5.50 with £4.40 postage.

thanks, i emailed him a question hopefully he might have some more in stock, the seller seems to have plenty of car parts for sale.
