If a digital multimeter is used on a high resistance range there is no way that the current is sufficent to trigger an airbag - and I have proven it.
The ecu also sends a current through each airbag on self test, that is how it knows they are still connected.
There are two main reasons for an airbag fault.
1 An open circuit on any airbag loop, ie crappy connector.
2 The ecu not communicating with the bsi because it has no power or the data link is broken.
I didnt think it would be too long before vosa caught up with modern technology on the mot, aren't these quangos gonna be for the chop under this goverment ?
