I have yet again got problems with my central locking.
Very occasionally the front passenger door doesn't unlock and has to be unlocked manually and at times when I go to lock my car it wont lock and I have to slam this door and then it will. I have also noticed today that when I press the lock button, the passenger door sounds like the cenral locking is struggling and whines a bit. It does still lock most of the time though.
Does anyone have any ideas about this one and the cost if it will require any parts?
Cheers
Ben

Guessing it'd either be the solenoid/motor dying, or the mechanism rusting up. Either way it shouldn't be too difficult or expensive to fix, either with a few squirts of WD40 or a visit to a breakers yard
I don't know woo much about these things, but what I'd probably try is taking off the passenger and drivers door cards, finding the motor/solenoid, and giving the mechanism a push/turn by hand to see if it's noticeably more difficult on the passenger side, indicating a mechanical problem (WD40)
