hi i need to replace the rear seats in the 406 as the rear center belt has broke....
so i have bought a donor car... v6 3 liter auto R reg estate..
is this a relitivley easy task, i understand that i need to do work with the electrics... but not sure exactly what needs to be done..
please could anyone shed light on the matter for me... with either tips or a guide on how to do it.....

Not sure about the rear seats on the estate, but relatively easy on the saloon. Two bolts by the footwell (1 on each side) and then you'll need to get your hand under the seat and wiggle it out as it's held on by some nasty er... thing in there. Almost guaranteed to cut your hands. But leather is worth it.
As for front seat electrics, there's loads of posts about it on this forum, so just do a search. Needless to say, you'll need to get a live feed in under the seat somewhere and do some minor modification for the driver's seat. You won't have any memory function though, but that doesn't matter I think

The saloon and estate rear seats are very different. For one, the bottom's hinged and the locking points for the back are at the sides as the parcel shelf is removable.
