remotes for door

just brought a 406 lx estate 1.6 2000 reg
has i key and 2 seperate pads for opening the doors
is this a normal set up or been modified
(previouse one had just the keys and a number pad under the dash(p reg))

That sounds like something aftermarket, is there anything written on the pads?

my mistake too quick on the keys
should have said 1.8
remote fobs have a sticker on

Sounds like an aftermarket setup - the OEM remote central locking uses plips built into the keys, not separate fobs

Perhaps it was a cheaper option than fixing the original system. I suppose the bottom line is does it work ok?
