Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Googly eyes

Post by mark21TD »

My head lights are moving up and down by themselfs and indipendantly as well, it stops if I move head light levaling switch.
Is this just a case of cleaning the switch or somthing more costly (it's a pug so it's bound to mean spending money  ).
I also have the same problem on my 405 so it would be nice to get that sorted aswell.

dirty switch contacts are a possibility, as is a loose connector. Chances are it'll be a sealed unit, so you may have to source one from a breakers yard
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

My car does the same, not all the time, just randomly! I kind of like it, gives the old girl character!

Not sure what the cause is, I have never looked into it. :supafrisk:
I call her Starbug 1, because she's green with intergalactic milage!! I do love my D8 diesel.

My D8 used to do it when it was cold, I thought it was a "feature" Now you've mentioned it I've realised it's not doing it any more, it must've stopped while it was suck away in my garage.
